Finished!

After a good chunk of time I can proudly say that I have finished my final project.  After spending hours on iMovie I have put together my two videos and audio.  I tried a few different times to post them to my blog but was unsuccessful, and had to put them on a flashdrive instead.  I was very apprehensive about this project when it was first assigned and probably waited too long to actually start it, but in the end I think that it came out really well.  I am now excited to be able to use these new computer programs on a more regular basis and am even considering using GarageBand to make a Christmas present!  I think that this project was a fantastic way to demonstrate what our class has been discussing all semester and I enjoyed the whole process.

Progress

This final project has been going a lot smoother than I thought it was going to.  I was able to record my audio piece with absolutely no problems on Garageband. I had my friend, who is involved with theater, read the book.  She did an amazing job with it! I have also gotten part of my instructional video done.  So far so good.

Project Proposal

For the instructional based portion of the project I am going to do a fraction math problem involving pie. I will tape myself doing the problem on a white board and will have audio as well as video.

For the stand alone audio I am going to read a Thanksgiving themed book.

The informational based will be an audio and visual presentation.  It will be based around the history of the first Thanksgiving (kid friendly version) with slides and quotes while I talk about the pictures and such and tell the history in the background.
